Quintelligence d.o.o. was established in January 2001 as a part of a Technology Park Ljubljana, Slovenia, with the mission of achieving knowledge transfer from the academic to the commercial world. In particular, the focus is to develop its own software solutions and to take over projects and solutions in their initial stages from academic worlds and transfer them into the working industrial strength modules available for marketing. The main strength of the company is a strong emphases on building solutions that can incorporate stat-of-the-art research achievements in data, text and Web mining, as well as link analysis (social network analysis) and stream mining.
The main areas of work are: (1) development and application of Text, Web and Data Mining methods and tools with the application in CRM for publishing houses, media companies, telecommunications; (2) development and application of optimization solutions with an application in supply chain management processes within large companies; and (3) for data analytics and Web 2.0.

She was visiting School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, USA, as a visiting researcher in 1996-1997 and in 2000-2001.

In 1996 he became head of the R&D department in DZS Inc., Educational publishing division where he was leading one of their major R&D projects called “Just-for-you education”. He is involved with Jozef Stefan Institute since 2003, where he is a head of the Center for knowledge transfer in information technologies.
